Yes I still use them. I use index cards for everything....shopping lists, menus, recipes, "to do" lists, goals and accomplishments, and also for reminders. I also make lists on my smart phone and on my laptop but there is something ever so nice about index cards. I can tuck them in my purse or pocket, I can keep one in a book I am reading, and I can keep a card and pen next to my bed for "middle of the night" notes and ideas.
However.....when I run out of them I get a little frustrated (since I buy them by the 1000's). Early this morning, I solved that problem. I took some card stock that I had lying around, and I quickly (less than 10 minutes) made my own index cards.
A few pieces of black and white card stock.......
And I cut my own 3x5 index cards. I used a black/white color scheme, and in no time I had some nifty little cards to write on. Since I rarely use both sides of the cards to write on, I loved the idea that they had a design on one side.
They turned out so well that I made a second batch......and really, it took only ten minutes. I decided that a few of my friends at school might like to have a pack of cards.
Everyone loved them. It will be difficult for me to go back to the plain solid colored cards......I don't think that I will.
